| Respiratory Therapist
Summary
Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of respiratory care as ordered or indicated by patient status. The licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner will possess the skills necessary to intervene in complex patient care situations and will perform other job related duties as indicated or directed
Requirements
Education/Training
Current RCP License from the Respiratory Care Board of Arizona. Applicable life support certificates related to age specific developmental guidelines. Certificates may include:
- BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
Experience/Skills
Two years experience for age specific population (neonatal, pediatric, adult) in critical care preferred
Six months adult floor care experience preferred
Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge and assessment skills of age specific anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of equipment and procedures as they relate to age specific populations.
Must be able to setup, operate, and troubleshoot required equipments.
Must possess strong critical thinking skills as they relate to patient care, equipment, therapeutics, and procedures.
